From Bill Plant:
This is a report from the Skymaster that some of you may have seen over
head. We have been flying now since Tuesday, Aug. 8. We communicated some
with the ships on the first couple of days but found that the marine radio
interfered with our radar so we stopped. The data are coming in very well.
We have been flying a line from shore out to the array and then 40 miles
beyond that. So far, all the IWs we have observed have been west of the
array. Today, we saw two strong packets and several more weaker ones. We
flew patterns around the two strong packets and observed them from many
different directions over a period of time of about 4 hours. Above is an
example of some of today's raw data.
